1.- Fish
There is abundant fish in the Baker River and the area. This river is undoubtedly one of the best to fish lots of rainbow trout of 1 to 3kgs. At subset, it is always a pleasure to watch large amounts of trout jumping along the banks of the islets and shores. During the season, they feed and swim just a few metres away from the boats or the anglers. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily watch the males fighting and the females spawning on the shores during the reproduction period. You can fish from the boat or from the banks (trolling, spinning or fly). Due to the control and management of this river by state and university institutions, the fishing season is open from the second Friday of October until the first Sunday of May. “Catch and release” is recommended, i.e. putting the trout back into the river with care.
We also offer trout and salmon fishing in other rivers, lagoons and lakes of the area. A fishing permit is essential.
2.- Fishing Tour
We also offer a fishing tour in rivers or lakes, with a duration of 3 to 7 days, including the the transfer from and to the airport in Coyhaique (Balmaceda), accommodation in very pleasant cabins o rooms, food, (continental breakfast, lunch, snack or cocktail, dinner, barbecue or spit roast), boat fishing with a professional guide for a maximum of two anglers.

Rod: If possible, 9ft. For lines, 5-6.
Lines: Sinking Tip of 10 a 15 Ft. For deeper waters, Tenny or Depth Charge lines (Orvis) of 150 a 200 Grains.
Backing: 100 Yds. of 20 pds.
